Trump will do anything to get re-elected - even if it means Americans die.
There is clear evidence that Trump is guilty of criminal conspiracy, money laundering, campaign violations, insurance fraud, tax fraud, sexual assault and more - none of which the Justice Department will prosecute him for while in office.
If Trump is re-elected, statutes of limitation on his crimes will have expired by the time he leaves office. This means that if he wins, he gets away with everything.
But if Trump loses... chances are...
He is going to jail.
This realization is essential to understand what's happening and why.
But that's not all...
Pundits have been puzzled by Trump's refusal to fully use the resources of the federal government to increase COV-19 testing. They theorize that Trump is trying to deflect blame for his own poor performance, but that doesn't make much sense. Nor does Trump's defunding of WHO, who originally offered COVID-19 tests to the US - an offer Trump refused.
The real reason for Trump's abandonment of testing should be just as obvious as it is monstrous:
Trump does not want testing to succeed.
It started off as arrogance, ignorance and incompetence. But once it became clear there could never be enough testing to revive the economy by Election Day, Trump decided to end restrictions as soon as possible, regardless of how many it would kill.
The more testing there is, the harder it is for Trump to keep the number of confirmed cases artificially low. And the greater the spread of the virus, the harder it is for Trump to justify reopening the US economy.
So the less testing there is, the easier it is to mislead the American people. It's that simple.
Trump has repeatedly asked experts over the last few months what would happen if he let COVID-19 just "wash over" America. That's his master plan. And thousands more will die because of it.
Governors will not let people go back to work until they know they will be safe. Trump is determined to send people back to work fully knowing that they won't be safe.
It's one or the other - you can't have both. Trump will do anything he can to stay in power, even if it means killing thousands and destroying democracy.
This cannot stand.
23 Million Jobs Lost... and counting. Tens of thousands dead... and counting An economic downturn rivaling the Great Depression.
We cannot wait until January 21, 2021.
Trump must go. Now.
It will take just 20 Republican Senators. That's 20 people versus 327 million of us.
